Acknowledgements 

This special edition is the work of Bill Clarkson, who for many years was editor of the
Soft Drink Journal and later the Australian BeverageReview. Bill was a regular attendee at industry meetings, functions and conferences and had a very relaxed style of reporting. Bill, in recent years, was honoured by state and national organisations for services rendered to the soft drink industry. Bill passed away in July 1997 aged 81.

The Soft Drink Supply House Association members have combined to sponsor this special edition in recognition of ASDA50th Anniversary and as a tribute to Bill Clarkson.
It is acknowledged that the Supply Houses Association, founded in 1963, has given outstanding support to the industry at both state and national level.
