Elgaar Farm’s contented cows graze on lush organic meadows and aromatic hay free from pesticides, herbicides and artificial fertilisers, supplemented with organically grown wheat and oats in the winter months.
The high quality of the milk is a reflection of the richness and diversity of grasses and herbs of the fields they graze.
Elgaar Farm have a rinse and return system. With every product you purchase anywhere, you pay for the packaging in the price, only to dispose of it later.
They include the packaging in the price in the form of a deposit. This means that once you have finished the product, you can simply return the bottle or jar to the place of purchase, and get 20c or 40c cash back. They then wash, sterilise and refill the bottles and jars. Each bottle and jar averages nine "cycles";
Not only do you not pay for something that you would only dispose of, but you also help reduce packaging waste. The deposit for Elgaar Dairies glass containers is 20c for jars and 40c for bottles (milk).
